The weather will be warmer before you know it. It will be time to add those cute sandals and flip-flops to your daily wardrobe. You may not want to do this if your toenails are not at their best. Nail fungus—onychomycosis—is a common and difficult issue to tackle. It requires active, persistent treatment for a cure.
Toenail fungus can cause thick, yellow nails that look terrible, and may feel just as bad. Some sufferers spend years attempting to rid their feet of this problem. They may spend hundreds of dollars on all types of treatments only to find no relief. Toenail fungus resists most treatments, such as topical medications. Oral treatments are also known to cause other health problems, like stomach issues and liver damage. That is why laser treatment was approved by the FDA.
During laser treatment, a medical professional kills the fungus through use of a laser. The lasers pass through the nail to its bed. Their heat attacks the infection for an effective end to toenail fungus. The heat must be high to kill the fungus, so physicians take great care in controlling the laser’s settings. Some doctors and patients say that this method is by far the best way to treat toenail fungus with no side effects.
The treatment is not complex. The session is brief and there is usually no pain, or risk. A patient can resume normal activity shortly after the session. These treatments are not usually covered by insurance because they are viewed as an aesthetic procedure.
Are you frustrated with a yellow, unattractive toenail? Do you feel like you’ve tried everything to cure it? We offer laser treatment for toes with fungus at FeelNu Med Group and we can walk you through the procedure, and help you decide if it’s right for you.

Even with all of today’s medical advancements, acne still plagues many people. As you enter adulthood and begin to feel you’re finally free of the problem, it can easily start again. It is also not necessarily the result of poor skin care; some people are just more prone to it than others and many things can aid in causing it—stress, hormones, diet, and much more. All you can do is your best to keep your skin healthy and seek professional help if you encounter problems.
One potential solution for acne problems is the Obagi CLENZIderm M.D.™ System. This is a prescription strength medication that treats acne troubles when added to a healthy skin regimen. CLENZIderm M.D.™ contains salicylic acid as a key ingredient. This solution treats acne by reducing blemish swelling and helping unblock the pore so that the blemish can shrink.
The Obagi CLENZIderm M.D.™ System is comprised of:
Foaming Cleanser: This light, foaming wash contains 2% salicylic acid. It clears the pores and cleans away dead skin. It also soothes skin with cooling menthol.
Pore Therapy: This part of the system is a toner. It further clears the pores of any excess debris and skin through exfoliation. It is more effective when used after washing with the foaming cleanser.
Therapeutic Lotion: This lightweight lotion is formulated to continue the acne treatment while providing much-needed moisture and calm after such strong cleansers.
It’s always best to consult your dermatologist before using new skin care products, particularly if you have skin trouble. Your dermatologist can decide whether or not CLENZIderm M.D.™ is the right thing for your needs. Just because it is prescription medication does not mean that it is right for everyone with the issue.
If you need help with your acne, some see us at FeelNu Med Group. We’ll help you decide if Obagi CLENZIderm M.D.™ is right for you.

Plenty of people love tattoos. They are now more socially acceptable than ever and you can even find employment opportunities with companies that no longer care whether the ink on your arms is showing. Despite this, there are also plenty of people who want their tattoos removed. The reasons may vary; they may have aged and no longer like the way it looks, or regret the decision, or the tattoo may have turned out badly.
Fortunately, there is such a thing as tattoo removal. Laser tattoo removal is considered by most physicians to be the best method for this procedure.
Laser tattoo removal effectively uses pulses of light from the laser—there are many types, but at Medical Group Robinson we use the Q-switched Nd:YAG—to dismantle the ink pigments in the skin. This treatment does not generally take very long, but the full effect may take some time afterward. A few treatments may be needed for there to be clean results. No two patients and their tattoos are alike, so the number of treatments needed is never certain. After a few weeks, the skin heals and, as a result of the healing process, the pigments are removed naturally. Even dark, newer tattoos are no match for the laser.
There may be a little discomfort, but the expert performing the procedure will take precautions to minimalize that, including cooling and numbing agents, and topical cream. Many patients say that having the tattoo removal is far less painful than getting the ink done. Overall, the risk of side effects is low and the results—if the patient is committed to the treatments—are significant.
If you’re considering getting laser tattoo removal, call us at Medical Group Robinson. We’ll answer any questions you have about the procedure and what we do to make it the best option for you.

One of the many things we love about the holidays is food. We enjoy seasonal treats and lavish meals throughout the month of December, and sometimes we start earlier. All of that indulgence, when combined with the New Year’s Resolution tradition, can lead to a strong desire to lose some weight.
We also know that these resolutions often don’t last; people start out with good intentions and efforts, only to let it slide when life gets busy. This does not necessarily reflect badly on anyone. Some of the most common ways to lose weight—diet plans, calorie counting, cutting out foods, extreme exercise programs—are set up for failure over the long term because people cannot keep them up realistically.
It is a struggle that a large percent of Americans know all too well. However, it is possible to find the right method for losing weight and keeping it off. It takes determination, realistic goals, time, and help from a medical professional.
Fad diets and exercise programs that you simply cannot keep up over the long term are sometimes as unhealthy as the excess weight that your doctor has determined is a problem for you. Every person’s body works differently, and that is something that those diets and plans don’t address. Working with a medical professional to lose weight allows you to get plans that are tailored to your needs. A doctor can assess your physical condition and get details specific to your condition that allow you to better understand what causes your weight gain, and how to combat that in the future.
At Medical Group Robinson, we don’t do diets. We’re not concerned with the thinner you. We focus on a healthier you. We offer individualized plans for long-term, healthy weight management. If you’re committed to making a real, healthy life change, we can help. Call us and ask us how.

Are you concerned that your face could use some contouring or filling? There are plenty of options for facial contouring, and Perlane is just such a possibility. Perlane can help with the cheeks and other parts of the face. And, as strange as it may seem, this treatment is created from a form of Streptococcus.
Perlane is a dermal filler. It is applied to various parts of the face to aid in the improvement of wrinkles and folds. It is administered by injection with a fine needle. Simply put, it plumps the skin in order to smooth it. As opposed to some other treatment, Perlane is used to address deeper folds. It is made of hyaluronic acid gel particles—a natural particle substance that volumizes from beneath the skin. The treatments generally last six months or so. The particles in Perlane attach to water molecules to help maintain the volume.
Potential side effects are generally mild. The injection causes little to no pain, no more than a normal needle injection. They may include some redness and swelling, bruising, soreness, and a few others. Over time, the solution breaks down naturally within the body. So, if the volumizing effects are still needed at that time, a new injection will be necessary. The physician can aid with preventing and treating any pain or side effects.
Perlane is not for everyone. A physician can decide who qualifies, but some people are at risk of complications, such as those with severe allergies or bleeding problems. It is important to discuss with a doctor whether Perlane is the right procedure.
If you need facial contouring for any reason, come see us at Feel Nu Medi Spa and Wellness Center. We’ll discuss Perlane in depth with you and any other potential treatment that may serve your needs.

It is something that is difficult for many men to discuss, or even fathom—male menopause. However, the fact remains that we all–including men–age, and as we do, our hormone levels decline. For men, this means a reduction in testosterone. As the testosterone levels shrink, estrogen increases. This increase affects a multitude of things. As a result, men experience male menopause.
To treat the symptoms of male menopause, physicians use bioidentical hormones. Treatment is meant to address the many symptoms of this issue:
- Sex drive and erectile dysfunction.
- Hair loss.
- Weight changes.
- Muscle loss and bone density.
- Depression and emotional fluctuations.
In this treatment process, a physician works to create an entire plan. This plan includes the proper amount and type of hormones, as well as a healthy lifestyle design—daily nutrition, exercise, stress management, etc. All of these things combined help build your hormones back up to their normal levels, so that you can go back to feeling normal.
Most importantly, this plan includes bioidentical hormones. These are hormones that match the natural ones perfectly. Because they are so exact, the body accepts them with no negative effects. Though synthetic hormones are available, they are not always compatible with those in the human body, and thus may not be metabolized as easily. This can result in some rather bad side effects. Bioidentical hormones are made of compounds in plant life. They are formulated to identically match those produced in the human body.
The male body is complex, and there is no shame in experience male menopause. If you find yourself wondering whether that is what you are experiencing, call us at FeelNu Medi Spa and Wellness Center. We offer hormone replacement therapy, and we can tell you all you need to know about your condition and how to effectively treat it. We understand this is sometimes a sensitive matter, and we treat it as such.

People interested in healthy muscle growth, for any reason, often use Human Growth Hormone (HGH). However, there are some potential negative side effects as a result of HGH, therefore there are some other options to replace direct HGH use. Sermorelin is such an option.
What is Sermorelin?
Sermorelin, A.K.A. Growth Hormone Releasing Factor (GRF) 1-29 NH 2, is a solution that promotes the pituitary gland’s natural HGH growth—the numbers attached to the name identify the solution’s chemical composition. Sermorelin not only promotes natural HGH, but it also stimulates new, healthy muscle cell growth. This then leads to a range of potential benefits, including, but not limited to:
- An increase in natural HGH and better hormone regulation.
- More lean muscle growth and mass, and more dense bones.
- A stronger immune system and overall improved health.
- More energy, strength, and better workouts.
- An easier time losing excess fat.
Possible and Reduced Side Effects
Sermorelin, when used properly and in combination with a healthy lifestyle, can improve a person’s health without the potential side effects associated with HGH, such as:
- General Swelling
- Joint and Muscle Pain
- Skin Numbness
- High Cholesterol
Only a small number of people experience minor irritation associated with the injection of sermorelin; this comes in the form of some pain or swelling around the needle’s entry point. Some other side effects exist, but they are even more rare than injection-related irritation.
Upon beginning sermorelin, a person should experience an HGH increase within just a few months. It is essential to consult with a physician prior to beginning Sermorelin use, or any HGH-related substances. We are here to help you reach your bodily goals. Whether you want healthy weight loss or muscle growth, we can walk you through all of your options. Call FeelNu Medi Spa and Wellness Center today.

Since liposuction was invented, it has been the primary surgical method for reducing the amount of fat in a person’s body. Its applications have been both cosmetic and medical, and it continues to be a viable option for qualifying patients. Yet, as time and surgical procedures progress, medical professionals and inventors continue to search for alternate ways to accomplish the same goals. This is because standard liposuction, though helpful for many, is a very invasive procedure that requires significant healing time, and everyone—doctors and patients alike—would choose something better given the opportunity.
Thermitight is just such an option. It is a far less intrusive procedure that many doctors believe to be more precise. Rather than penetrating the body with a large and invasive tool and removing fat or tissue, Thermitight uses energy via a small tool under the skin—with only local anesthesia—to shrink fat cells and tighten skin. The areas commonly targeted with this technique are the same as those for which patients choose liposuction.
In addition to less invasiveness, there are several reasons why Thermitight may be the better option:
Improved Precision: Thermitight works through carefully controlled temperature. This allows the physician to more precisely target the area of fat and skin, and have much more control over more areas. It also significantly reduces the chances of injury.
Less Healing Time: This procedure leaves no noticeable scars and is not generally considered painful; it only requires a local anesthetic, and side effects are mild and rare. It also does not require much time to heal, as opposed to liposuction, which is a major surgical procedure that carries the potential for infections and a lot of downtime post-surgery.
At FeelNu Medi Spa and Wellness Center, we can perform this procedure and have you up and running again within a day. If you’re considering liposuction, but would like to know more about a far less invasive option that may work just as well, if not better, then call us and talk to us about Thermitight.

You’ve probably heard of chemical peels and you may have even considered getting one. If you haven’t, there is plenty to know about this procedure to help you decide if it is the right course for your skin. Chemical peels can potentially cure or improve a wide variety of skin issues.
A chemical peel is a process in which a chemical solution is placed on the skin—commonly the face—and the skin then reacts by peeling. First, the skin is cleansed. Then, the acidic solution is applied to the area. The most basic description of the result is that it’s like inflicting a mild wound that is then peeled to let new skin grow. Once the skin is peeled and the underlying layer heals, a new, healthy top layer is formed.
Chemical peels are not meant to treat significant aging signs, such as excess skin and large wrinkles, or fat and collagen-related issues. This procedure best treats:
- Sun damage.
- Age spots and dark areas.
- Fine lines and mild wrinkles.
- Light scarring.
- Some acne.
Chemical peels are most often applied to the face and neck, but they may also be applied to the hands. People with very fair skin generally experience better results. A chemical peel can be performed as an outpatient procedure.
There is a burning sensation associated with the procedure that lasts a few minutes. Some people need light medication to help with the burning or stinging, depending upon the nature of the peel. However, many patients find that the pain is not unbearable, and well worth the results. The skin may be sensitive afterward and require care according to the doctor’s instructions.
The results can be amazing, but a chemical peel is not for everyone. Discuss the possibility of a chemical peel with a doctor. Call us at FeelNu Medi Spa, and we’ll tell you anything you need to know about the procedure, and whether it’s right for you.

Among the options for skin rejuvenation is microdermabrasion. This method involves using a rough grain to polish the skin’s surface. There are many ways to go about this treatment; at home you can accomplish a gentle version of this using creams, cleansers, and special at-home kits. Salons and dermatological clinics also have their methods for this. Microdermabrasion is a safe and effective, regular treatment to help keep your skin clear and healthy.
What it Does
Over time, our outer layer of skin changes. Skin cells die, new cells form, and our skin accumulates things from our environment. Microdermabrasion focuses on buffing only the outermost layers of skin to help break up and remove dead cells, and other elements to reveal the new, healthy skin beneath. In doing this, the tool, be it an at-home cleanser or professional instrument, stimulates the skin to heal with new cells. The process may cause some redness or irritation.
Overall, the benefit of this procedure is clear, rejuvenated skin. New skin cells are more smooth. This treatment can remove blemishes such as pimples, fine lines, dry and flaking skin, and more. It is particularly useful for cleaning out pores, and is a potential replacement for some acne treatments which are too strong for patients with sensitive skin.
Because the outer layer of skin is clear, moisturizers and other treatment creams can be more effective because they are not blocked. The treatment should always include a moisturizer afterward since moisture is removed from the skin in the process. It is possible that regular treatments could benefit the future of your skin; some studies show that the skin could adjust its growth patterns over time, healing with newer skin, faster.
If you want to rejuvenate your skin, we can help you at Inverness Dermatology and Laser. We offer microdermabrasion and much more. Call us and let’s discuss your needs and the best way to meet them.
