It is the most natural way to evenly and safely exfoliate the skin without chemicals or a laser.

Microdermabrasion produces a superficial ablation, primarily in the epidermis; therefore, this procedure is ineffective for deeper wrinkles or scars. However, for fine lines and more superficial scars, microdermabrasion can be an effective treatment with minimal risk and rapid recovery.

The procedure does not require anesthesia. It is painless, simple and quick to perform, can be repeated at short intervals, and does not significantly interrupt the patient’s life.

It performs exfoliation of the skin with medical grade diamonds while simultaneously infusing condition specific solutions deep into the skin. The face is the most commonly treated area, followed by hands, arms and neckline. The SilkPeel Microdermabrasion is a simple skin renewal technology, providing the over 30 population or those with mild to moderate damage with a conservative alternative to reach their skin enhancement goals. This procedure also maintains the results of more aggressive laser or PhotoFacial treatments used to rejuvenate and correct the skin.

SilkPeel Microdermabrasion treats the following conditions:

Expectations

Microdermabrasion requires multiple treatments for maximum results. You will see results after the first treatment; however the most dramatic results occur between three and six treatments. We will schedule your sessions once every 7-10 days for the first 4-5 treatments. Another maintenance treatment should repeat as necessary every 4-6weeks.

The procedure itself takes only about 8-10 minutes, but pre and post treatment protocols take about 30-40 minutes.

Following the treatment, you may experience slight redness which will disappear in a few hours. The skin will feel soft and silky and may peel slightly. Normally there is no down time from SilkPeel Microdermabrasion. It is very important to use sunscreen conscientiously. If you use Retin A, it should be discontinued one day prior to and 48 hours after treatment.
